Union Minister for Border Affairs Lt-Gen Ye Aung received Chinese Ambassador Mr Chen Hai yesterday at his office in Nay Pyi Taw.
During the meeting, they cordially discussed matters related to peace and stability and development in border areas, human resources development of national races youths, and socioeconomic development of people in border regions.
They then discussed matters related to implementing peace and national reconciliation processes, Rakhine State’s peace, stability, development and repatriation of displaced people, and cooperation in development works in Kachin and Shan states.
They also openly discussed future bilateral cooperation matters including the People’s Republic of China’s US$ 30 million assistance to Ministry of Border Affairs to carry out development projects border region in three year.—MNA
