Union Minister Lt-Gen Ye Aung receives European Commission delegation

     Union Minister for Home Affairs Lt-Gen Ye Aung received a delegation led by the International Cooperation and Development of the European Commission’s Director for Asia, Central Asia, the Middle East and the Pacific Mr. Pierre Amilhat and Head of the Unit of Southeast Asia and the Pacific Mr. Jean Louis Ville at the ministry’s office in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
     During the meeting, they discussed matters related to cooperation between the Ministry of Border Affairs and UN organisations, international governmental organisations and International non-governmental organisations, cooperation between the Myanmar government and the European Union, as well as teaching the ethnic people in the border areas, in accordance with the policy of the Ministry of Education.
     Further, they exchanged views and discussed matters related to the government’s implementation of international peace affairs, reception of Myanmar citizens from displaced camps in the Thai-Myanmar border, setting up accommodation for returnees in Rakhine State, assistance of the European Union for Myanmar’s educational development and the forthcoming cooperation between the Ministry of Border Affairs and the European Union.
