AGTI Diploma Course 21 concludes at NYRDDC (Yangon)

The graduation of the AGTI Diploma Course 21 and job appointment letter handover ceremony of Nationalities Youth Resource Development Degree College (Yangon) in Dagon Myothit (Seikkan) Township, Yangon Region, took place yesterday at the convocation hall of the Degree College.

Speaking at the event, State Administration Council Member Union Minister for Border Affairs Lt-Gen Yar Pyae said the Nationalities Youth Resource Development Degree College (Yangon and Sagaing) were established for the youths from border areas to participate in promoting border areas and socioeconomic status as reliable government employees. To date, the degree college in Yangon has produced a total of 3,166 degree holders: 685 arts degrees, 1,467 science degrees, and 1,014 AGTI diplomas. Moreover, there are also 71 MA, 146 MSc, 55 MRes, 15 PhD, 301 BE, 15 ME and 452 BTech.

He then urged graduates to cooperate in building a Union based on democracy and a federal system as per the Keep Moving Forward To Achieve Our Goal and presented an award to an outstanding student.

Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein presented cash prizes for dinner to the principal, and the representatives of six ministries presented job appointment letters to 106 students.

The Union minister and regional chief minister attended the dinner in the evening, watched entertainment programmes of students and presented cash prizes and the flower basket to the students.
