UDNR students need to foster Union spirit and good morale of ethnic youths

Senior General Min Aung Hlaing pointed out that UDNR graduates have to strive for the emergence of a society built with the knowledge to raise school enrolment rate, improve school education for students and increase learning grades at relevant schools where they are as signed. 

Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing met students from the five-year BEd Course No 6 of the University for the Development of the National Races at the SAC Chairman Office in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning. 

In his address, the Senior General emphasized that the Union spirit must be cultured for all national people to forge the spirit of national brethren residing in the same land, to foster the spirit for all national races without separating hilly regions and plains to defend the State collaboratively and to initiate the family spirit of all to share the same fortune and future.

He noted that student youths must be under training to have good practices of following laws, rules and disciplines as responsible citizens. 

UDNR students were urged to provide training to ethnic youths to keep the Union spirit and good morals for serving the interest of the State. 

As such, he continued to say that all UDNR students have to build mutual            respect, understanding, and trust among the national brethren of the Union, with      correct perceptions and attitudes in unison.

The Senior General recounted that the Institute for Development of the National Races was established on 20 October 1964, and it was upgraded to a university on 10 May 1991, adding that it has so far turned out 14,288 graduates. 

He underlined that those students have to lead pupils in forging the national unity and Union spirit by upholding Our Three Main National Causes to ensure the durability of the Union.

According to the current landscapes of Myanmar and the world, he spotted that now is the time for all Myanmar people to defend their own territory, nationality and sovereignty. As a civilian, serving their duties of protecting the State can be de fined as guarding the entire nation and all citizens, he added. 

The Senior General underscored that if people have been steadfastly learning education to meet their ambitions since childhood, such education will provide more incredible benefits for their lives. He stressed that if students learn primary, middle, high school, and higher education, the accumulation of knowledge will improve their lives as much as they can.

He highlighted that emphasis is being placed on staging campaigns to develop libraries for learning techniques and knowledge and to raise reading habits across the nation. 

With regard to the electoral process, he disclosed that everybody knows       preparations are being made to hold an election as an ultimate aim to flourish the genuine, disciplined multiparty democratic system in Myanmar.

Chin ethnic Ma Myat Thinza Kyaw from Sedoktara Township of Magway Region, on behalf of the students, spoke words of thanks. 

Two students presented the gift to the Senior General, who returned cash awards to those students. 

Also present at the ceremony were SAC Vice-Chairman Deputy Prime Minister  Vice-Senior General Soe Win, Secretary General Aung Lin Dwe, Joint Secretary General Ye Win Oo, council members, union ministers, union-level dignitaries, the Nay Pyi Taw Council chairman and officials.
